I am descended, on my father’s side, from part-European Fijians going back to some of the earliest white settlers in Fiji. This website is the result of my attempts to find out more about my own Fijian ancestry.
Here your will find a great many resources and ideas for tracing your family tree and researching your family’s history in Fiji. Whether your ancestor was a temporary visitor who married or died in Fiji, or whether you are descended from a long line of settlers or natives, you will find something here to help you research your ancestors.
I have collected many lists of websites, books, and repositories of records and microfilmed records to help you find what you are looking for. I will add more as I find them and time allows.
You can see some of the results of my research on my personal website here.
The photo was taken by me from the beach at Naigani Island outside the Naigani Island Resort. The island is called Nasoli and the graves of some of my ancestors are buried underneath the vegetation.
