State Library of New South Wales

The State Library of NSW has many talks and courses available to the public, some of which are related to family and local history. These are usually held in the adjoining Mitchell Library. See their website for details of courses.

The Master Genealogist

Carole is the convenor of the TMG Sydney User Group. The Master Genealogist (or TMG) is the family tree software we use for our own family trees. We find TMG to be the most versatile and fully-featured program available. It is published by Wholly Genes Software in the United States. The group has a mailing list and website which you can join if you have an interest, or a curiosity, about TMG.

We also hold meetings at the premises of the Society of Australian Genealogists every two months. We have presentations by one of the members on a topic of interest to users of TMG, followed by general discussion and questions. Meetings and topics are listed in the Society’s course list. All are welcome!
