THE PLAGUE.

ANOTHER CASE.

Another case of plague has been reported to the Health Department. The patient is Stanley James Garfield Herps, aged 27, who resided at Randwick, and was employed as clerk in a Bathurst-street fruit exchange. His illness dates to May 7, but he continued to discharge his duties until last Friday, when the illness was diagnosed as plague. On the fol- lowing day Herp was admitted to the Coast Hospital. The fruit exchange, Dr. Ashburton Thompson remarked yesterday, is within the danger zone, and he took it for granted the City Corporation would see that all neccessary attention was given to it.4
