Obituary* | 5 July 1919 | "The Nepean Times", Penrith, NSW; Mr Leslie Claude Purcell died in the Nepean Cottage Hospital on Sunday night from pneumonic influenza at the age of 31 years. Deceased was a native of Castlereagh, and was a son of Mr C. W. Purcell, of that locality. His mother died about two years ago. He resided in Henry-street, and was employed at the State Brick Works. He leaves a wife, one step-daughter, three brothers (William, Victor and Harold), and three sisters (Mrs Conteleon, of Brisbane, and Clarice and Sarah, of Penrith). The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, the remains being interred in the R C. portion of the Kingswood Cemetery. Rev Father Ryan conducted the service.1 |
