SHEENS- WEDESWEILER.
St. Adien's Roman Catholic Church, Rooty Hill, was the scene of a pretty wedding on January 20th, when Mary, youngest daughter of Mr J J Wedesweiler, of Rooty Hill, was married to Stanley Glenore, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J Sheens, of Newtown, Windsor. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Father Muirhead. The bride, who was given away by her father, was daintily gowned in white chepe- de-chene, trimmed with pearls and sprays of orange blossom, the train, falling from the waist, was prettily trimmed with, a true-lover's knot, white satin horse shoe and orange cap fashion, with a wreath of orange blossom and tulle bow. She carried a bouquet of white roses and cactus dahlias, and wore a gold circle brooch set with pearls, the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids, Miss Vera Layton (cousin of the bride) and Miss Kathleen Collins, wore dainty frocks of white chiffon organdi, trimmend with malines lace and insertion; and wore hats of pale pink acrophane, with large silk rose and touches of black velvet; both carried a bouquet of pink roses and cactus dahlias, and wore gold circle brooches, set with rubies and pearls; the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Eric Sheens (brother of the bridegroom) attended as best man, and Mr P Hetherton, of Sydney, as groomsman. After the ceremony, about 50 guests were entertained in Rooty Hill School of Arts. Later in the evening Mr and Mrs Sheens left for the North, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a Fugi silk coat and skirt, with pale pink hat trimmed with touches of black.;Principal=Stanley Glenore Sheens5
