OBITUARY.
MRS. W. LINN.
The death occurred somewhat suddenly last night of Mrs. William Linn, of March Street, this town, from bronchitis and heart failure, at the age of 65 years. The deceased had been ailing for some time, but her illness was not such as to cause any misgiving or anxiety. Last evening she partook of tea with the members of the family, who were glad to note her apparent improvement. She herself stated that she was much better than in the morning. Mrs. Linn enjoyed the meal; she looked bright and hopeful, and there were no symptoms cause the least misgiving.
After tea she was seated to a chair by the fireside, and asked her daughter, Mrs. McCutcheon, to apply a liniment to her chest. Without any warning the pale messenger of death beckoned, and Mrs. Linn was called hence. Needless to state the sudden bereavement produced a profound shock in the minds of the family circle and the neighbours, among whom she was respected and beloved, Mrs. Linn was born near Penrith. For a period of 28 years she has resided in the Orange district, six years of which were spent in this town. In addition to a sorrowing husband five children, and an otherwise numerous connexion of relatives and friends deplore their sad and sudden loss. Mrs. McCutcheon (Orange) and Mrs. J. Odgers (Sunny Corner) are daughters of deceased, and Messrs James Charles, William Edward, and Thomas are sons of the deceased lady. The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon, Mr. F. Ford having charge of the arrangements.12
