Obituary
MRS. G. SMITH.
Mrs. Mary Ann (Nurse) Smith, wife of Mr. G. Smith, passed away on Tuesday night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. Williams, Chester Street, Moree. The deceased, who was 86 ye ars of age was widely known and highly respected. Born at Gulgong, on the Lachlan River, the late Mrs. Smith went to reside at Pallamallawa when quite a young woman. After spending a number of years there, she then came to Moree where she had resided for the past 20 years. Besides a husband, six sons and seven daughters survive her. The former are Messrs. Daniel (Sydney), Roley (Gunnedah), Walter (Newcastle), Colin, Norman and Len. (Moree), and the latter Mrs. W. Mace (Sydney), Mrs. H. Mace (Queensland), Mrs. McKenzie (Q.), Mrs. W. Williams (Moree), Mrs. W. Reynolds (Moree), Mrs. Coppock (Moree), Mrs. Connolly (Tamworth), Mrs. J. J. Daley (Pallamallawa). The funeral took place this (Thursday) morning, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery. Rev. C. E. Hulley administered the last sad rites.22
