Miss Alice Clarke.
The death occurred on Wednesday, 26thult., of another pioneer from the Murrumburrah district, Miss Alice Clarke, whowent to Demondrille, from the Goulburn district, with her parents, the late William andMary Clarke, in 1873, and had lived on theproperty continuously until the time of herdeath. Deceased had reached the advanced age of 77 years, and had enjoyed fairly good health until about four months ago,and passed away as stated. She was visitedby Rev. Father Shannon, of St. Mary'sChurch, Murrumburrah, which she had attended for a period of 60 years. Her sisters and brother all predeceased her. Theywere: Mrs. Jas. Gordon, Edwin Clarke, Mrs.Michael Shea, Mrs. Pat Maguire, and Mrs.Jas. Clarke. The deceased lady had 25 nephews and nieces, including Mr. J. E.Gordon (president of Demondrille ShireCouncil) and the late Sister Mary Rosarii,of Kenmore Girls' Orphanage. The funeralleft St. Mary's Church, Murrumburrah, onthe 27th ult., the last prayers being readby Rev. Father Shannon. — R.I.P.6
