Obituary
MR. GEORGE WILLETT
Mr. George Willett, of Castlereagh Road, Penrith, died in Nepean District Hospital on July 24 in his 78th year.
Mr. Willett was born at Lambridge, Castlereagh Road, and lived in the district all his life. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Willett.
He was engaged in farming, and took a great deal of interest in the Nepean A.H. and I. Society's show, winning many prizes for produce, including a cup.
He married Isabella May Sheens, who survives him. There were five children—Elsie (dec'd.), Florence (Mrs. J. Carter, Cranebrook), Mildred (Mrs. G. Hamilton, Cootamundra), Edith (Mrs. Rose, Hurstville), and Lottie (Mrs. S. Thompson, Cardiff). There are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral, which took place on July 26, was largely attended.
The Rev. A. E. Hodgson officiated at the Methodist Church and in the adjoining cemetery. Many beautiful wreaths were forwarded, including one from the C.W.A, and one from the Cranebrook Auxiliary.
John Price and Son had charge of the funeral arrangements.15
