(Beneficiary) Will | 24 September 1766 | Middlesex, England; On the twenty fourth day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six before the Worshipfull Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws Surrogate in his Chambers in Doctors Comons [sic] London present the under written Notary Publick Business of Granting Letters of Administration with the Will Annext of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of John Swettenham late of the of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex deceased left unadministred [sic] by Martha Swettenham Widow the Relict and William Fletcher the Executors named in the said will to William Swettenham the natural and lawful Son of the said deced [sic] On which day Appeared personally the said William Swettenham and Alleged that the said John Swettenham whilst living and of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding duly made and Executed his last Will and Testament in writing and thereof Appointed Martha Swettenham residuary Legatee who soon after the death of the said deceased to wit in the Month of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine took upon them the Execution of the said Will and that the said William Fletcher soon after died and that in the month of August last the said Martha Swettenham the Surviving Executrix died Intestate leaving Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased unadministred and not fully disposed of and that since her death to wit in this present month of September Administration of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits were by the Authority of this Court Granted to the said William Swettenham her natural and lawful Son Wherefore he prayed Letters of Administration with the said Will Annext of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased John Swettenham deceased to be Granted and Committed to him on giving the Nonal Socunty and that all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said John Swettenham deceased left unadministred as aforesaid do not amount to the Sum of Forty Pounds Which I Attest Mark Holman N P;Principal=John Swettenham2 |
