FORBES, Tuesday.
Last night Mr. James Rawsthorne, a very old resident in this district, expired at his residence, Forbes. Only last year the deceased disposed of the well-known Carrawobitty Estate to Dr. Coward and Sons. For many years past Mr. Rawsthorne had been blind, and for some time had been breaking up, but his end was not thought to be so near. He died very suddenly and quietly, and was conscious up to time of his death. Deceased leaves a very large family, all of whom are married, besides numbers of connections and friends by whom he was held in esteem.5
