PLUNKETT Mrs Linda Madeline Plunkett, wife of Mr Elwin Joseph Plunkett, of Taree, who. died in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on Thursday of last week, was the second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. J. Purcell, of Castlereagh. Deceased was a native of Castlereagh, and was 41 years of age. She received her education at Castlereagh and Penrith, and was highly respected. She was only admitted to the hospital a week prior to her death. Her husband is a son of the late Mr Thomas Plunkett, of Castlereagh. After her marriage deceased and her husband resided at Cootamundra, Wallerawang, Lithgow, Werris Creek, and Taree, having been at the last mentioned place for the past three years. Mr Plunkett and seven children, ranging in ages from 18 years to 13 months, survive deceased, as well as one brother (Mr C. J. Purcell, Castlereagh), and two sisters (Mrs Tom Bunyan, Henry Street, Penrith, and Mrs W. J. Toole, Stockinbingal). The funeral took place on Friday the interment being in McCarthy's Cemetery, Cranebrook. A large number of relatives and friends attended, and many beautiful wreaths were for warded, Rev. Fathers Green and McGovern conducted the service9 |
