Mr. Edward Purcell
The death occurred at the Orange Base Hospital on the 19th instant of an old and highly respected resident of the Molong-Wellington district, in the person of Mr. Edward Purcell, at the age of 76 years. The passing brought to an end a long and painful illness.
The deceased was the fourth son of the late Henry Thomas and Mrs. Purcell, who, for many years, owned and resided at Woodville Station, near Molong. He was of a quiet, obliging disposition, and was very popular with all who knew him. He followed the golden rule in life: Love your neighbour as yourself. His wife predeceased him some years ago. There are one son and two daughters left to mourn the loss of a good father, viz., Edward, who is acting postmaster at Millthorpe; and Mrs. McDonald (Temora) and Mrs. Dr. Tout (Sydney). There are two sisters, who reside in Molong —Mrs. F. C. Cole, of Phillip Street, and Mrs. H. D. Cole, of Betts Street. The funeral took place on Friday, 21st instant, at Millthorpe when the remains were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Millthorpe Cemetery. Many beautiful wreaths and floral tributes were received from friends and relatives.;Principal=Edward Ernest Purcell3
