(Beneficiary) Will16 May 1902 95 Foulden Road, Stoke Newington, London, England;THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me ROBERT MANN of 95 Foulden Road Stoke Newington in the county of London Gentleman I appoint Henry Herbert Akers of No102 Rochester Row Westminster Licensed Victualler my brother Henry Mann of No 19 Castle Road Bedford Gentleman and George Herbert Naunton of 49 Oxford Street in the county of London Solicitor to be the EXECUTORS and trustees of this my Will I give devise and bequeath my freehold premises Nos 79 and 81 Cricketfield Road Hackney in the county of London with their appurtenances unto and to the use of my daughter Sarah Ann Halse (the widow of James Halse) her heirs and assigns for her own use I devise my freehold premises “Armitage” Cottage 55 Rugby Road Milverton Leamington with their appurtenances unto and to the use of my son Robert Mann his heirs and assigns I give my gold chain to my grand-child Grace Margaret Halse and my silver watch to my grand-child Horace Leslie Halse I devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal and whatsoever and wheresoever unto my trustees Upon trust that my trustees shall sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as should consist of money and shall out of the moneys produced by such sale calling in and conversion and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacies by me as follows I give to my son John Pears Mann and William Mann the sum of two hundred pounds each To my son Thomas Mann I give the sum of fifty pounds To my said son Robert Mann and to my sons James Mann and Frederick Mann I give the sum of forty pounds each and to my son Henry Mann the sum of one hundred pounds To my grand-children Eliza Sarah Akers James Fothergill Sherwood Thomas Nelson Carlton and Florence Olive Carlton (children of my late daughter Eliza Carlton) I give the sum of eighty pounds each To my grand-children Ethel Lilian Halse Grace Marguerite Halse Winifred Halse Kenneth Halse Hilda May Halse and Horace Leslie Halse (children of my daughter the said Sarah Ann Halse) I give the sum of twenty pounds each To my grand-children Edith Beatrice George William Alfred Mann and my niece Mary Ann Lock I give the sum of ten pounds each To each of my Executors and trustees providing they act in the execution and trusts of this my Will I give the sum of twenty pounds each All the foregoing legacies to be paid free of legacy duty And as to the rest residue and remainder of my estate Upon trust to divide the same equally between all my sons living at my decease I declare that the Bond for one hundred pounds given by me in favor of my said daughter the said Sarah Ann Halse shall be paid out my estate provided she does not recover same from my said son Henry Mann And I further declare that the said George Herbert Naunton and any other Executor or trustee for the time being of this my Will being a Solicitor shall be entitled to charge and be paid all usual professional or other charges for any business done by him or his firm in the proving and carrying out the trust of this my Will IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of May one thousand nine hundred and two – ROBERT MANN – SIGNED by the said Robert Mann the testator as and for his last Will and testament in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses – C W G GREEN – EDWARD C GOOD – Clerks to Messrs Naunton & Son Solicitors 49 Oxford Street W
