he death occurred at Babinda on Thursday last of Mr. Joseph Jeremiah Keogh. Deceased was born at My. Gambier in 1868 and later went to Cootamundra, where he married Mary Jane O'Shea.Several years later they came to the Atherton, where Mr. Keogh was one of the first settlers. They took up residence at Tarzali, residing there for a number of years, after which they went to Babinda district, where deceased had since resided. Their family consisted of four sons, namely, Bertram, Vincent, William and Cyril. Bertram paid the supreme sacrifice whilst a member of the A.I.F. in 1943. Vincent is at present in the A.I.F., Cyril, a discharged member is residing in Beaudesert, and William is in Sydney. There are 10 grandchildren. Deceased's wife died 11 years ago.

OBITUARY
MR. V. J. KEOGH.
The death occurred at the Babinda District Hospital yesterday of Mr. Vincent John Keogh at the age of 49 years.
Deceased was born at Wallanbeen, N-S-W and had been a resident of Babinda since 1918. His wife died 21 years ago.
He is survived by a son (* J. J. Keogh) and daughter (Miss Margaret Keogh) both reside in Cairns.
An ex-serviceman of World War II Mr. Keogh was a member of the R.S.S.A.I.L.A. the R.A.O.B.
The funeral will move from St Rita's Roman Catholic Church, Babinda, at f* o’clock this afternoon (Friday).6
